Raoul Pal Predicts Crypto Adoption Could Reach 4 Billion Users by 2030
Cryptocurrency adoption is accelerating at a pace twice as fast as the early internet, according to Real Vision CEO Raoul Pal. By comparing 5 million internet users to 5 million crypto wallets, Pal highlights the unprecedented growth trajectory of digital assets. The user base has surged 137% annually, reaching 659 million by 2024—far outpacing the internet's 76% annual growth rate in its early days.
Pal projects that crypto could onboard 4 billion users by 2030, potentially elevating the market capitalization from $4 trillion to $100 trillion. This growth is driven not by speculative price action but by organic adoption and the devaluation of traditional fiat currencies. "Adoption, not price, is the real driver," Pal asserts, noting that 90% of short-term crypto volatility stems from macroeconomic debasement.
